Lesson 3
Hello Grade 3!
Welcome to lesson 3! Last lesson, we learnt about what happens to ice when we added heat and cold to them. Today we are going to look at what happens when we add heat to other solids. There are different solids laying on the table in the back of the room. You are going to choose 4 of them and expose them to a source of heat footpath. Then you are going to observe what happens to these solids. Using the iPad, you will take photos of what the solids look like before and after 20 minutes exposed to a heat source.
The solids you have to choose from are
Once you have selected your 4 items, take a photo of each of them using the iPad. You will need to upload these photos to your laptop. Once you have taken photos of your solids, take them outside and place them in a sunny spot, where they won't get kicked over. Set your stopwatch for 5 minutes.
Once you are back at your laptop, choose which program you will use to present your findings. In an example below, I have selected to use Word. You don't have to present yours the same as mine, I'm just giving you some ideas.

- jelly lollies
- rock
- real buttons
- ice cream
- butter
- bark
